Dear master students,
Want to show off your hard work? Practice presenting your research? Put in the first steps towards paying off your student loans? Submit your abstract from your bachelor or master internship project and grab your chance to win a nice cash prize!
The submitted abstracts will be ranked by a jury of VU researchers. The students with the best abstracts are invited to present their research on the 13th of January. This presentation will be for all Gyrinus members interested, so bring your friends! From those presenters, a winner will be chosen and rewarded with €100,-!!
Submit your abstract via www.gyrinus.nl/abstractcompetition2022, before the 18th of December to participate! The abstract should be in English and be up to 300 words. If you have any questions, please contact the Mastercie committee via masters@gyrinus.nl.

It is getting colder and darker outside… Which means that the most wonderful time of the year is coming again, and what better to celebrate that with than with our own Christmas dinner 🥘🎄🎅!
After a long, long time it is back and better than ever, brought to you by the Feestcie❄️☃️. On this evening we will enjoy a three-course dinner to protect us from the cold by sharing the warmth in our hearts (and stomachs).
We will open the dinner with our prized tradition: a glass of the loveliest prosecco.
So put on your Santa hat and your fancy clothes (mandatory!!!) and join us on the 23rd of December from 17.00 till 23.00 in The Tegenstelling to eat delicious food, drink some good wine 🍷, and chatter with your dearest members.

After 2 years of absence, it’s time to dive into the depths of the sea again! The Musselmeal is back on the 30th of November! Tasty, nutritious and low in sodium and saturated fat, mussels provide a readily absorbed source of B & C vitamins, amino acids, Omega 3 fatty acids, and vital minerals including iron, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium and zinc, so while you are having a lot of fun, you are also being healthy!
